As of 2017 it now seems all of Mukilteo is signed with time limits on parking, even those areas well beyond the downtown core. Salvation can be found at the park-and-ride lot for the Sounder Commuter Train at the bottom of the hill. As you approach the ferry turn right at your last opportunity to do so. Follow the twists and turns of the road to the lot. Signage is confusing as to whether or not non-commuters are allowed to use this lot but communication with those in charge and personal experience has confirmed that it is okay. From there it is a flat ride back to the ferry landing:-)
Parking without time limit restrictions can be found in the Old Town residential area about 5 blocks away from the ferry. When heading down the Speedway turn right onto 5th go a few blocks and the limited parking time signs will disappear. Agreed the riding on Whidbey is great!
Anyone have a specific place to park for the Mukilteo ferry for all day? Don't mind paying to park if I can be there 8+ hrs . Would rather do the riding on Whidbey than on the mainland if possible. Thanks, Lee
