A challenging mixed terrain 2 day ride staying overnight at Mt. Baker Hotel in Concrete Wa. Ride leader John Lindseth
Day 1 we will find parking on side streets and meet at the Granite falls IGA. We start out climbing Barlow Pass on paved roads then descend into Darrington on mostly gravel roads. We will have lunch in Darrington. After lunch we will continue to Concrete, check in and have dinner in a restaurant. 83 miles 3,600'
Day 2 we will have breakfast at a restaurant, check out and head West along the South side of the Skagit River. We will head South @ Hwy 9 and have lunch at Clear Lake (Evelyn's tavern). After lunch we will use back roads and bike trails as much as possible back to Granite Falls. 72 miles 2,400'
All participants will be required to carry their gear and be able to deal with any mechanical issues that may arise.
Lodging is very limited in Concrete. Book you room in Concrete as soon as possible or check with others for room mate possibilities.
