Peter Krippner will lead a weekend ride coinciding with Adventure Cycling Association's National Bike Travel Weekend during their 40th Anniversary. This is a great introductory bike camping ride with all riding on normal pavement for about 36 riding miles each day.

On Day 1 we take Edmonds ferry ($9.10) and ride through Poulsbo with a stop in Suguamish to visit the Chief Stealth Gravesite and/or the Suguamish Museum ($5.00). At Kitsap Memorial Park there are 3 Hiker/Biker sites. You can also reserve directly your own campground or their cabins or yurts.

On Day 2 we head to Keyport where an optional visit of the Naval Underwater Museum is available for free. A brunch or lunch stop can be made here at the nearby Mercantile Deli. We then head down towards Bremerton where we catch the Bremerton Ferry back to Seattle (free) and either head back to Gas Works Park or riders can depart directly home. Before catching the ferry an optional visit can be made to the USS Turner Joy Naval Destroyer ($14).  The 2 day loop route is listed in Ride With GPS at https://ridewithgps.com/events/Nat-l-Bike-Travel-Weekend .

NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
