Brian Anderson will lead the Whidbey Rhododendron Ride.

We make a short stop at Meerkerk Gardens, They collect Rhodes and Azaleas from around the world, displaying them in natural settings with a stunning range of size and color. 4/9 is prime blooming season. Lunch ( just after Meerkerk ) is the half way point. It is in Greenbank at the Whidbey Pie cafe. ( nice indoor / outdoor setting and good food ) The ride is mostly quiet, rural roads, many times with a view of the water.

+/- 52 miles and 4400 feet of elevation.
Pace is high Moderate , adapted as needed.
Cue sheet provided. Download route from “Ride with GPS” Whidbey Island, southern route:

Steady Rain cancels ride.  “Go" / “No Go”, confirmed Friday evening 4/8.

Meet at Mukilteo and take the 9:30 ferry.  3:30 or 4:00pm return ferry. You can park in the lot next to the ferry or above on side streets. Car pooling makes sense.
