Details:
My favorite route in Snohomish County through very pretty hills farmland and back roads. Starting from Snohomish, we cross the valley and loop South and East past Monroe to Sultan. We will try to get in to the Sultan bakery for lunch, but if the line is too long we'll stop at the mini mart at the turn from Highway 2 onto Old Owen Rd. We then work our way back to the start over hills and back roads including an optional jaunt out and back on the 3 mile road to the Lake Chaplain reservoir. Bring at least two water bottles, there is no water after the lunch stop (mile 30). Also remember to bring a couple of spare tubes, patch kit and tools so you will be self sufficient.
Post ride we will meet at the Trails End Taphouse.
Directions to start:
From I-5 Northbound in Everett, take Exit 194 East on Highway 2 to Snohomish/Wenatchee. Go 9 miles and take the 88th St Snohomish exit. Go right onto 88th (becomes 2nd St) and go right at the third stop light onto Maple to Sixth St. Meet at Sixth and the Centennial trail just north of the Trails End Taphouse.
You can also come into Snohomish from Highway 9 from Woodinville.
