Ride Leader: Peter Krippner
Check out if Fall has arrived in the Skagit River Valley. This is a fairly long, but low elevation, ride. This route starts on the North side of the river and follows a combination of the Cascade Trail and low traffic roads by the river as much as possible. The Cascade Trail is mostly an unpaved rail traiI so for these sections wider tires are advised, 32mm min. There are just a few tricky sections that can be flooded in heavy rain season. Concrete will be our turnaround point and we will stop for lunch at Cascade Burgers on Hwy 20. After lunch on our return we will cross the river to come back on the South side mostly on S Skagit Hwy. There are very limited services on this side of the river so be prepared for no restroom facilities for the last 34 miles of this ride.
