Registration is closed

For Memorial Day weekend (May 25-27), Wayne Johnson will be leading a cycling tour from Anacortes to Victoria to Port Townsend to Anacortes. There is no sag wagon, so riders will need to be self sufficient and bring panniers or other bike bags to carry supplies for three days. The ride will be at moderate pace.

Saturday

We will meet at the Anacortes Ferry Dock on the morning of Saturday, May 25 to take the 8:30AM ferry to Sidney, BC. From Sidney we will take the Lochside Trail to the outskirts of Victoria, then follow the coastline around the eastern perimeter of Oak Bay and Victoria, ending up near the central Inner Harbour of Victoria. Saturday’s ride is about 30 miles from the ferry.

The ride leaders will be staying in the James Bay Inn. There are many accommodation options around the Inner Harbour of Victoria if you desire other lodging. Please check with the venue about bike storage; the James Bay Inn has a locked bike storage building in back. Lodging will fill up and reservations should be acquired as soon as possible.

Sunday

We start off by catching the Black Ball Ferry to Port Angeles. Once in Port Angeles we ride the Olympic Discovery Trail, a short section of highway and the Larry Scott Trail to Port Townsend. Sunday’s ride is about 54 miles.

Ride leaders will be staying at The Tides Inn & Suites. There are additional lodging options nearby. Lodging will fill up and reservations should be acquired as soon as possible.

Monday

Monday begins by catching the ferry from Port Townsend to Keystone. From here, we will ride up Widbey Island, across Deception Pass, and over Fidalgo Island to finish in Anacortes. Monday’s ride is about 38 miles.
