We'll catch the 8:55 ferry to Bainbridge, and ride to the Concerts in the Barn site in Quilcene (former home of the Olympic Music Festival) for a program by the Carpe Diem string quartet, with special guest Jeff Midkiff on mandolin. https://concertsinthebarn.org/ The round trip from Bainbridge is 109km (69 miles) with 1500m (5000 feet) of climbing. I'm planning a high moderate pace (it's 60km to the barn, and the music starts at 2PM.)
There is no food available at the barn, but the organizer has generously offered to pick up sandwiches for us from the Chimacum Farm Stand https://www.chimacumcorner.com/goods- please let me know if you'd like to have a sandwich brought for you, and give me your preferences (e.g. meat or vegetarian, gluten free, etc.) Unfortunately there is not a set menu, sandwiches will be chosen from the pre-made selection. The price per sandwich should be under $10 (please bring cash to reimburse!) There is water available, and other beverages to purchase.
