PROS Lite, A grand tour of the south end of Seattle
Monday, September 2, 2019, instead of sitting in three-hour ferry wait lines and freeway traffic snarls join us for an in-city perimeter ride around the south end of Seattle. Fifty-six miles and 2850 feet of fun.
Details:
The Ride: A counter-clockwise perimeter tour of the south end of Seattle starting in Magnolia’s Discovery Park. Route includes Seattle water front, West Seattle, Fauntleroy, White Center, Glendale, Allentown, Rainer, Leschi, Madison, Arboretum, UW and last but not least Fremont. There will be a short bathroom/snack break at Lincoln Park and a more extended BYO “lunch” break around the halfway mark at Seward Park.
When and Where: Meet Monday, September 2, at Discovery Park’s north parking lot. Sign in by 8:45, ride departs at 9 am. If you want to make arrangements to meet us somewhere along the route other than the start point, please contact the ride leader.
Distance and Elevation: 56 miles, 2,800 ft of climbing
Pace: Moderate to Low Brisk. Well intended but admittedly often futile attempts will be made to keep the group together. Depending upon turnout and abilities we may split up into smaller clowders. (https://www.certapet.com/clowder-group-of-cats/)
