Our dear friend Tom Schaefer was famous for doing at least one century ride every month. Year round.  Here is a ride where we can honor Tom with a group century ride.

In addition to the full century, aka The Full Manure, there are also options for shorter routes.

The Metric Manure: This version is 104 km(65 miles) and 950 meters (3,100') of climbing.  It begins and ends like The Full Manure but just crosses over the valley to Snohomish and back skipping Everett, Monroe, and Sultan.

Another option, Just the Manure, is to start in Snohomish and do the mid section of the century route:

This route lets you ride the best parts of The Full Manure without the transit from and back to Seattle.  It is almost entirely delightful farm roads.

I will be making Cue sheets.  If we have enough people we will try to ride in groups, otherwise you may be on your own following the cue sheet.  After we stop in Snohomish we can try to regroup.

NOTE: This ride will be postponed if the weather forecast indicates significant rain.  A passing shower would be okay but if Sunday is anything like earlier in the week then it will be too wet to have fun.

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.

COVID still remains a dominant health issue for our society. COGS riders are required to follow all state and county health guidelines to protect themselves and others. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be healthy and symptom free of COVID or any flu like symptoms. For more information, please see: Riding with COGS Protocols.

NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
