Ride: Ride around north end of Lake Washington on July 10th,
Ride Leader: Tom Tanner.
Ride Description: Iconic ride around the north end of Lake Washington and west side of Lake Sammamish and along the Seattle Ship Canal. Depart Gas Works Park and ride up the Burke Gilman/Sammamish River Trails to Marymoor County Park. Ride around west side of Lake Sammamish and I-90 Trail and then ride across I-90 Bridge. We will stop for lunch/snacks/coffee before crossing the I-90 Bridge. After the bridge, the ride continues through the International District/along Seattle waterfront, along the Myrtle Edwards Park Trail and the Ship Canal Trail and returns to Gas Works Park.
Meet Up Time and Location: Meet at Gas Works Parking Lot on Sunday, July 10th at 9:15 am and depart at 9:30 am.
Pace: Moderate/Low Brisk or whatever works for the riders. No cue sheets, no GPS tracks - instead, we stay together and take our cues from the ride leader and occasionally regroup.
Distance and Elevation. Ride is about 50 +/- miles with no significant climbing but with some rolling hills. Ride is on paved trails and roads.
What you need: spare tube(s), water, and other stuff for riding and being self-sufficient. Money for snacks/lunch would be handy. We will stop for lunch/coffee break.
Weather: Sunday weather forecast looks great for a weekend ride. If the weather turns “south” ride leader will cancel the night prior by email.

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.
COVID still remains a dominant health issue for our society. COGS riders are required to follow all state and county health guidelines to protect themselves and others. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be healthy and symptom free of COVID or any flu like symptoms. For more information, please see: Riding with COGS Protocols.
