  • It's been a year since I have ridden to Hansville.  I'm going to ride it on Tuesday to prepare/recon for the Saturday Kingston-Hansville ++ ride.  If you have time for a Tuesday recon ride then your company will be very welcome.
  • Kingston-Hansville loop: A clockwise loop starting in Kingston, south through Indianola and a lunch stop at the northern end of the loop in Hansville.  Hansville has a small grocery store and café with outdoor seating.
  • Sign In: Will be on the 9:35am ferry.  Arrive early enough to find parking, ride to ferry, and acquire your ticket.  Areas around the ferry, waterfront and downtown Edmonds core have time limited parking restrictions.  Park outside this zone.
  • Participants are expected to be self-supporting with spare tubes, pump, water, snacks, and capable of fixing their own flats.  Helmets are required on COGS rides.  Use of flashers, visual enhancers and rear view mirrors is encouraged.  Weather conditions can and will change, be prepared. In addition, please also bring safe riding skills and good road manners.  Thank you.
  • Cancellation notice for rain, smoke, fire, ice, or insurrection will be sent out no later than 7 AM the morning of the ride.

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.

COVID still remains a dominant health issue for our society. COGS riders are required to follow all state and county health guidelines to protect themselves and others. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be healthy and symptom free of COVID or any flu like symptoms. For more information, please see: Riding with COGS Protocols.

NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
