Bring your Orca card! This route includes 4 ferry rides, three of which have tolls. We will be riding the best miles of the Three Boats route, skipping Alaskan Way and Spokane Street, thanks to the West Seattle Water Taxi. The route goes from Salty's around Alki to Fauntleroy (7 miles) where will will board the ferry to Southworth at 9:55. We'll then ride to Port Orchard (14 miles) for lunch at The Dock. The foot ferry to Bremerton runs every 30 minutes. From Bremerton we'll ride to Paulsbo (18 miles) for coffee. We'll ride the last 15 miles or so across Agate Pass and down Bainbridge - skipping Baker Hill and Toe Jam Hill (unless you're still feeling frisky enough to take them on!). The ferry back to Seattle is free - and we'll get there when we get there!
NOTE: This is a strenuous, day long ride on hilly terrain. Riders should be both capable of handling the terrain and patient enough to deal with several breaks along the route. Wet weather will result in cancellation or postponement until May.
COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.
COVID remains a public health concern and COGS will continue to follow state and county health guidelines. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be free of COVID or flu-like symptoms before participating in any rides, tours, and social events.
