 Check in | Departure  09:10am to catch the | 09:35am Ferry.
  • Saturday, February 24, meet 9:10 AM at the Seattle Coleman Ferry dock to catch the 9:35 ferry to Bainbridge.  Sign in and ride brief will be on the ferry.  Thirty-six miles, 2500 ft, moderate pace, occasional regroups.  Bathroom stop at mile 14.2, extended stop in Lynnwood Village (mile 24.5).  Suggest bringing additional snacks and liquids for back up.
  • This route includes not-to-be-missed, short-but-sweet, Toe Jam Hill at mile 27.  For the just-say-no to Toe Jam riders, there is a shortcut back to the ferry from Lynnwood Village.

  • Predicted morning weather is cold and wet.

  • Participants are expected to be self-supporting with spare tubes, pump, water, snacks, and capable of fixing their own flats.  Helmets are required on COGS rides.  Use of flashers, visual enhancers and rearview mirrors is encouraged.  Weather conditions can and will change, be prepared. In addition, please also bring safe riding skills and good road manners. 
  • Cancellation notice for rain, smoke, fire, ice will be sent out no later than 7 AM the morning of the ride.

the small print

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.
NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
