 Start Location  UW triangle. Park at Gas Works Park and take the Burke Gilman Trail to UW triangle if you need bathrooms.

  • One of a series of weekday social rides.  We'll ride at a conversational pace, stopping to admire views, and stop mid ride for coffee and treats at the Queen Bee Cafe.   Parking and toilet facilities available at Gas Works Park, 1.9 miles away on the Burke Gilman trail.
  • Participants are expected to be self-supporting with spare tubes, pump, water, snacks, and capable of fixing their own flats.  Helmets are required on COGS rides.  Use of daytime headlights, flashers, visual enhancers and rearview mirrors is encouraged.  Weather conditions can and will change, be prepared. In addition, please also bring safe riding skills and good road manners. 
  • Cancellation notice for heavy rain, smoke, fire, ice will be sent out no later than 7 AM the morning of the ride.

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.

COVID remains a public health concern and COGS will continue to follow state and county health guidelines. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be free of COVID or flu-like symptoms before participating in any rides, tours, and social events.


NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
