The current forecast is for another dry day on Friday. The plan is to ride along Lake Washington to the I-90 bridge, cross to Mercer Island and ride around the island clockwise.  Restrooms are available at Aubrey Davis Park near our entrance/exit to Mercer Island.  We'll make a coffee stop at Belle Epicurean on East Madison across from the Arboretum near the end of the ride at about mile 26, depending on group interest.

We'll start from the Montlake Triangle. There is no parking immediately nearby but there is parking at Magnuson Park (about 4 miles on the Burke-Gilman trail) or on the street near the bike trail in Laurelhurst, Bryant or Wallingford.  The UW light rail station at Husky Stadium is right next to the start.

Participants are expected to be self-supporting with spare tubes, pump, water, snacks, and capable of fixing their own flats.  Helmets are required on COGS rides.  Use of flashers, visual enhancers and rearview mirrors is encouraged.  Weather conditions can and will change, be prepared. In addition, please also bring safe riding skills and good road manners.

Rain, snow or ice will cancel.  I will send out a cancellation notice by 8:30 on the morning of the ride.

COGS rides are now open to both members and non-members. Non-members are limited to one “free” ride with the club, after which COGS’ insurance requires they become a member. All persons must register. The number of persons allowed on a ride is left to the discretion of the ride leader.

COVID remains a public health concern and COGS will continue to follow state and county health guidelines. Regardless of vaccine status, all participants should be free of COVID or flu-like symptoms before participating in any rides, tours, and social events.

NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
