Join us on July 13th for a challenging ride from Vashon to Gig Harbor to Southworth and a ferry back to Fauntleroy.  It's going to be a long day.  We will start on the Fauntleroy ferry to Vashon, ride down to Tahlequah and take the ferry to Point Defiance and ride to Gig Harbor.  In Gig Harbor we will have Lunch at Susanne's Bakery & Deli (~mile 42).  Then on to Southworth to take the ferry back to Fauntleroy.

Optional shortcut: At mile 7.2, take RIGHT on Vashon Hwy (99th Ave SW) to shorten the route by 10mi and 900ft.

Alternate Route added mainly to make the 11:20am ferry at Tahlequah.  Otherwise, we may be waiting for 45 minutes or so for the 12:10pm ferry.  Let's decide on the ferry.  Best to have both on your device.  Here is the alternate route: 2A53_b61mi [FAU], Vashon, Gig Harbor, Southworth Loop

Ride brief will be on the 8:15am ferry out of Fauntleroy. Arrive early enough to park, ride to ferry and acquire your ticket at the KIOSK at the end of the pier. Do not go to the automobile ticket both. If you have an ORCA card, the ticket taker on the dock will scan your card. No need to go to the KIOSK.

Park at the south end of the first parking area for Lincoln Park you come to when driving south on Fauntleroy Way SW. DO NOT park in the smaller parking lot to the south of the larger lot. This smaller lot has time limits on parking. Ferry is a short downhill ride. Go directly to the end of the pier to the bike holding area.

It is a long ride.  Bring bars/snacks to get you to the finish line.
