Join me for a two night/three day bike packing loop around the Tahuya Peninsula.

Due to insurance requirements this ride is open for club members only.

Itinerary:

Monday 7/28:  We'll catch the fast ferry from Pier 50 to Southworth at 8:05 and ride a relatively easy paved 30 mile/1,500 feet route to Belfair State Park - stopping en route for coffee and lunch and picking up supplies in Belfair.  Camp at Belfair State Park.

Tuesday 7/29: The route around Tahuya Peninsula will be a hilly 45 miles/2,800 feet with five miles of gravel road.  This route has low traffic, especially beyond the little village of Tahuya, and is very scenic.  We will pick up a pizza and/or dinner supplies in Seabeck before climbing up the hill to Scenic Beach State Park.

Wednesday 7/30: From Scenic Beach to Bremerton where we can take either the car ferry or the Kitsap fast ferry back to Seattle - 18 miles/1,400 Ft.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Riders are expected to be self-supporting.  Some of this route will be out of range of cellphone coverage (West side of Tahuya), but I will bring a satellite communicator for emergencies.  Please be flexible about routing.

Cancellation for rain, smoke, etc. to be sent no later than 8 PM the night before the ride.

NOTE: COGS Rides are limited to members and one time guest non-members. You must register to be permitted to ride. According to the club insurance policy, If you are not a COGS member then you can register and participate in one ride.
