 Route  Kirkland Hills
 Start Location

 UW Triangle

 Check in | Start  8:50am | 9:00am

Starting at the UW Triangle (aka Montlake Triangle) we will make our way across the 520 bridge, then north to Kirkland.  We'll climb Market and Juanita out of Kirkland, taking the Seminary Hill climb off of Juanita.  After a stretch on the Burke Gilman Trail, climbing Norway and Winery Hills and a stretch on the Sammamish River Trail, it's up Rose Hill and back to the start.

This ride will make you stronger.  So, even if you dont think you can do it you should try.  If you do it enough times you will eventually be able to keep up with the group.

This is a hard ride and we will regroup at the top of the hills.  However, if you find yourself getting further & further behind be prepared to ride the route solo and/or exit the ride and make your way home.  Here are some exit options:

  1. At mile 12:  Stay straight on Jaunita Dr and make your way to the Burke Gilman trail and back to the start.
  2. At mile 18.5: Turn left to get on the Burke Gilman trail and make your way to the start.
  3. At mile 34.8: Turn left on the Eastrail.  Turn left onto 161st Ave NE towards the Redmond Transit Center.  Get on the bus and get off near the start.
