Volunteers are sought to work as bicycle valets - possible fund raiser for COGS and it looks like a fun event:
Good morning,
The 2nd annual Kenmore Oktoberfest is quickly approaching and I'm reaching out about the bike valet service we've added this year. Our beer garden is located at Copperworks Distilling / 192 Brewing, immediately adjacent to the Burke Gilman Trail, so biking is a great transportation option for our guests.
To support the service, we're seeking additional nonprofit partner(s) to help oversee operations during beer garden hours:
4-9PM, Friday, September 19th
11AM-9PM, Saturday, September 20th
11AM-7PM, Sunday, September 21st
By offering a fenced, monitored bike valet area, we hope to increase our number of guests leaving vehicles at home and choosing to cycle instead.
Would Cyclists of Greater Seattle (COGS) be interested in assisting? You'd be welcome to request tips (via QR code preferred) to benefit your club as cyclists return to claim their bikes. And we'd truly appreciate the support in our efforts to reduce vehicle traffic at the fest.
Thanks for considering!
Erika
