Dear COGSters,

With the annual member meeting less than a month away, the board of directors does not have a full roster of candidates for two of the officer positions. Here is the current roster of officer candidates, along with those who are standing for election to those positions:

President: Open

Vice President: Open

Treasurer: Denny Doyle 

Secretary: Don Smyth 

For the last two years, I have attempted to recruit new board members with mixed results.   The club needs volunteers who are willing and able to fill board positions if we are to continue providing the current level of service to the membership and move the club forward.  The time commitment is minimal, but regular attendance at board meetings and a desire to support the club are the minimum requirements.

There are several director positions that are appointed by the board: Ride Coordinator, Social Coordinator, Membership, and Web Master. Please consider volunteering for one of those.

The consequences of not having a full roster of officers are dire. If you would like the club to continue fulfilling our mission of “Fun, Friends and Adventure”, consider standing for one of the open positions! Otherwise, 2026 may be the last year that this club exists in its present form.

We’ve relied on the same small subset of the membership to fill these roles for many years; it is high time for others to step up.
